Not optical quality
I returned this item a couple of days after it arrived. It resembles an optical glass prism only in that it's prism-shaped and made of glass. It appears as if it simply has been cast into a prism shape, with no polishing of the faces. Because the faces have a rippled surface texture, they disperse light as a blurred spectrum and reflect images as blurry shapes. A red laser beam sent into the prism emerges as a smeared-out spot the size of a quarter. Further, the glass has the greenish tinge of ordinary glass; it doesn't seem to have been formulated to make it water-white, as one would expect for optical glass. The prism also has internal defects in the form of tiny bubbles. The item is useless even for the basic demonstration of the dispersion of light into a spectrum.
