Installation challenges

Electric choke is a relatively easy install. The rod to the electric choke was attached to the wrong side of the choke shaft lever.That confused me for a short time making me think the rod was not bent correctly.. wiring of the electric choke can be troublesome. If you are installing this electric choke on an HEI engine, or an electronic ignited engine, it is easy because your distributor wire supplies 12 volts. If you are installing the electric choke on an engine that has points, then you could add a relay that will provide 12 volt only to the electric choke. You could also provide power for the electric choke from a direct source on your fuse box that is energized when the ignition is energized. The choke works great.

Thermostat cover critique

The thermostat cover seems to be a good product. The bolts supplied with the thermostat cover are chrome plated which make the threads oversized and unusable.

Installation of accelerator bracket challenges

To use this bracket the installer must fab an additional piecel to extend the bracket so it will line up to an edelbrock carb throttle. Also, the cable bracket attaching screws should have hex heads to make it easier to fasten.
