A great disc bought again......
This is a relatively old Santana recording and I bought it simply because that original disc had "discapeared" so to speak. Fallen down the back of the sofa? left at a friend's house? Gone walkies? I don't know. All I do know is that I was able to replace this brilliant disc which consider to be one of Santana's best works. If you like rock and Roll then this is for you.

Well made and durable
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a good, solid mic stand. It is all metal construction apart from the mic clip and cable guide, which are plastic. The mic clip has a standard 5/8" thread but is supplied with a brass 3/8" to 5/8" adapter to fit the male thread on the top of the stand. This means it will take a wide range of standard mic clips. The supplied clip accommodates my Sennheiser evolution 850 vocal mic and will I think also take a Shure SM 58. Microphones with a larger diameter stem, such as many radio mics, will need a different adapter. construction is rugged, which is to say it's not very attractive. But it is very durable and as it all comes apart easily and packs away small, it would be ideal for portable P.A. systems requiring setups for conferences or meetings, it's large, cast base ensuring stability. The only drawback that I can see is that it may pick up noise transmitted through the surface on which it is stood but a rubber mat or microphone shock mount should easily get around that problem. This does the business. A good buy at a reasonable price.

Fast, slow this controller does it all
I bought this product second hand along with some other Guagemaster controllers for comparison. All of them were well made, easy to set up and use, and all gave good control. However this particular controller gave far better low speed control, than others their range, and being designed from the outst as a hand controler there were no connections to be made at the controller itself, just a ready connected single cable which handles both the 16V AC input and the 12V DC output to the track. The output, I think, is pulsed and it is this feature that allows such good low speed control. I model N gauge and there is a warning that the controller is not suitable for these locomotives. I can see how it could cause early three pole motors to stall and then overload, but for later locomotives it works well and brings that touch of realism particularly to goods trains.
