Handy clear reference tool
Answers so many of those questions about whose head was cut off back then or where Megan fits in.
Neatly drawn and easy to follow on nice heavy paper.

High powered Swing men on the portal of Bop
Live on radio in the famed WNEW sessions. Roy Eldridge seems not too happy with his (pick-up) group but those five tunes are interesting still. The two last tunes with Bull Harris and Fats Navarro are sublime. Top men at the top of the game back in 1947.

Not a "new" book but a good old one that is written from experience
