Excellent SATA controller card for the money!

Excellent product, suits my needs perfectly. Running in UnRaid server connected to an HP Expander card. Updated the expander card's firmware through this LSI card with no problem! This card's firmware was already updated to latest version, so I didn't have to do anything except install it in the server. This type of card is one of the most recommended for this particular use, in an UnRaid server.

Excellent product, works perfectly!

Excellent product exactly as described. I connected this card to an LSI SAS 9701-8i SATA controller card, installed it in a new UnRaid server, and it's been running perfectly. This card came with version 2.06 firmware. Even though it worked perfectly, I decided to update the firmware to HP's latest version 2.10. Worked flawlessly. This procedure is not for beginners, however. It was necessary to use a live version of Linux (bootable USB stick) and complete the firmware update procedure through the command line. Again, definitely not for beginners. Couldn't be happier with this product, it works great!
