Does not work with AMD

The drive did not work on my AMD based laptop but worked fine with Intel based laptop. I even installed all the drivers and firmware from Pioneer, but to no avail. On AMD laptop, drive shows up after connecting it but when I try to read from a CD or DVD, the reading operation fails and the drive is no longer detected by the system. Same drive with same CD and DVD works without issues on the Intel laptop.
