MUCH better than original Astatic preamp
My IC-765's audio is now significantly clearer to local SSB ragchew groups. I did add a switch, to switch the mic element load resistor between 4.7 meg to 150k for DX. Either way, excellent audio reports from about 15 hams I regularly talk to on 75m ("big improvement!!"). Highly recommended! Did not use original output level pot.
