Phenomenal transfer speed

I bought this to replace the failed mainboard of my Toshiba USB 3.0 external 3.5in 2GB harddrive. I disassembled my external harddrive and cut a rectangular hole in the end of my case to neatly accommodate this new SATA connector. I separately acquired a 12V 2A positive-tip 2.5mm(outer diameter)-0.8mm(inner diameter) DC transformer/adapter. My external drive was back up and running as soon as I plugged everything in. My original drive was very fast. This new setup is very fast, as well. (I'm using a USB 3.0 - PCI-E 1x adapter card on an Intel DG33TL motherboard with a Intel Core2 Quad Q9650 with 6GB RAM.) A single 208MB file copied from the external drive to my internal 3.5in SATA III harddrive in 2.5 seconds. Copying the same file back to the external USB drive also took 2.5 seconds. Copying a folder of 115 photos & videos totalling 1.06GB from the external drive to the internal harddrive took 18.5 seconds, starting at 144MB/sec transfer speed and drifting down to 70.0MB/sec at the end of the copy (didn't get a chance to settle before the copying was completed). Copying the folder of photos & videos back to the external drive took 23.7 seconds, beginning at a rate of 145MB/sec and settling out at about 50MB/sec. I'm happy. I highly recommend this product to everyone.
