9 of 9 found this helpful I got into juicing a day before easter. Purchased four juicers over the past month. First was a cheap 55.00 hamilton beach centrifical. Great at juicing carrots and other hard surfaced veggies. Horrible at the no1 juicing ingredient: KALE!! I wasted alot of kale until I obtained an Omega 8006. Slower juicing process but much better yield from leafy veggies. It works good with softer fruits abd veggies as long as you follow up with a carrot or celery stock to keep the soft material moving forward. Still, the 8006 does mot have BPA free plastic and the feedtube is skinny. Next was the nc800. I wss able to snag this for 220.00 on a remanufactuer 2 year warranty. 15 year warranty? Who owns anything that long to eventually break abd replace with all the required receipts etc? Good luck with that. Anyways. The nc800 isnt chrome like the 8006 but still looks ok in my kitchen. The feed tube is much bigger and saves time juicing due to this simple fact. The BPA free is nice considering im ingesting enough pesticides as it is. Cant find every veggie or fruit that is organic all at the same place I shop so the less my
Liver has to detoxify the better. Both omegas are easy to clean compared to the HB centrifical unit. Night and day! I also have a small black and decker centrifical unit I bring with me on the road. I fly for a living so eatting right at the hotel is very easy to do now. The B n D is not the best but fits easily in my suitcase and does just a good job as the HB. Did I
Mention the 5 position dial on the nc800? It seems to help a little bit between a 0 setting and a full 5 setting. The 5 settings helps most of the veggies out drier on the fiber/pulp end (waste) then the 8006 but I would not purchase this just for that fact over an 8006. Oh yeah, that oval shaped plunger that comes with the nc800 is garbage. I use the skinny round plunger from the 8006 that is much easier to push all the produce down the tube on the nc800 than the plunger that comes with the nc800. I have not broke any parts on either omega but I have read 8006's that are over two years old have inferior plastic parts that are much easier to break. Especially the round drum everything is encased in and the plastic screen that is considered the first stage of screening. Not the metal strainer. Off subject even more...juicing has been THE best diet I have ever started. I dont know what the word hunger pang means anymore. Myself in almost two months but the compiments and the fact I have to buy a new wardrobe is enough for me. The fact I feel like a million bucks and that working out everyday is so much less draining and head throbbing when I would perform chitty slim fast type diets. "Fat, sick nearly dead" documentary on netflix has made me look at food and exercise like never before. I hope those who have read this review will get fired up and start a juicing fast, diet. Etc. I am still going strong. I should say, instead of going strong I feel like a lifestyle change that I am experiencing is much easier to maintain than any other diet I have been on. Unit. When I drop another waist size again I am gonna snag one. Btw. i started at 255 pounds 6 foot 2. Was a size 40 now between a 38 and 36. Once I get to a lose 36 I will weigh myself to see where I am at. Under 200 is my goal. Get shopping!

stick with a sharp fork
2 of 2 found this helpful Thought this was gonna be a time saver for me. Nope. It gets stuck in any meat with anything more than a little fat in the muscle. It actually takes more time to unstick the Zyliss from the meat than a fork since the spring action is not strong enough to push the forks away from fatty meat. I can tenderize both sides of a steak with a fork faster than this on the first side of meat. You have been warned. Did I tell you cleaning it is a bitch?

What I get for buying open box junk
Eratic "off" operation whilie using with a brand new vizio q65-c1 tv. Tried all of the different audio connections. The sound bar shuts off by itself. Waiting for the new style soubd bar that complements the new Casting vizio option.
