The real “Suspicion”.
Hitchcock might or might not have wanted to end his movie the way the book does, but there has always been a dispute about that. Here’s the real story. Sad and strange and gripping in its plotting. Lena is a sad character who loves too much or hates herself too much or just does not have the will power to be as strong as she should be after finally finding love that really was not what she imagined. Hitchcock’s twist ending makes Johnny a misunderstood character. The book never makes that mistake. A clever title that foreshadows what is to come: a sad ending for a sad woman lost in a love she never really had with a man she never really understood. Outstanding novel.

Worth the time
Very good remake of the old Heston movie Dark City.
Love Dean Martin westerns. Though not as engaging as Rio Lobo, this one chugs along rapidly with the help of a number of talented actors playing the supporting cast. Some reviews say Martin phones in his performance here, but I think his style works just fine. Not a complicated mystery but fun interactions and the addition of Ms. Stevens and her enchanting smile and cool demeanor adds spice to the story.
Sit back, relax, enjoy. It's time well spent. And just like "My Rifle, Pony and Me" from Lobo, you get to hear the great crooner at work on the theme song beginning and end.

An Olivia fan’s must own
39 music videos full of the beauty and the passion and the charm and the creativity of this very brilliant performer. The hair styles and clothes may be old but the music is timeless. If you’ve never seen Silvery Rain you are in for a treat as Olivia plays several roles in this environmental nightmare. Very much ahead of its time, as others have said. She dances, poses, acts, smiles, cries, and genuinely enjoys herself in every single one. Add it to your collection. A fitting tribute to a star gone too early. I hope Kira is back in Xanadu.
