1941 to 1948 Ford Car Deluxe CHROME Deck Lid Locking Handle Assembly w 2 Keys

Needs modification

I needed to grind back the shoulder of the shaft that goes into the locking mechanism about 1/8” before the handle would fully engage into position. There was the exact same handle on my car when I bought it, It broke in a couple of months of use. Be gentle, it looks very good but leaves a lot to be desired in durability and fit. But…it was the only replacement I was able to find.

Good fit

The hole for the shift lever is small but stretches to fit my T5 shift lever from a S10 and it fits snugly to the floor. The boot may not fit over a standard T5 with the bolts holding the shifter lever from the side.
