Excellent tripod for the advanced amateur
I have been very happy with this tripod so far (one month). To be truthful, the kind of shooting I do does not place heavy demands on a tripod, and for everyday use in rougher outdoor conditions one might choose something a little sturdier. That being said, this unit is no toy at all. It is very compact and light, and the legs and fliplocks work smoothly and securely. The ball head and quick release have shown no wiggle and my Sony @55 w/ 75-300mm zoom is nice and secure. The reversible center column is great for low and macro shots, and the levels and compass seem accurate.
This tripod is stable and easy to use with great features and should last quite a while with good care.
