Unusable for Photos

This item is suitable for slides and negatives, but does not work well at all for photo prints. Photos that are printed on glossy paper or that have darker areas will show a distinct reflection of the camera lens and surrounding area in the scanned pic. This can be reduced somewhat by manual setting control for darkening the scan with the loss of some photo detail. Manually tweaking each photo scan defeats the reason for purchasing this item: to quickly scan numerous prints. A very disappointing purchase.
