Apple Magic Mouse 2 (MLA02LL/A) Wireless Mouse - Silver
    Jun 15, 2021
    Not very practical
I enjoy the accessibility of gestures on the mouse, but I’m not sure if that feature is available on other mouses. The pros of the mouse tend to end there, however. I found it to be too slim. It’s possible my hands are simply too large for its intended audience, but assuming I don’t have gargantuan hands it just doesn’t seem to line up well with my fingers and palm. I would prefer if the arch of the overall shape was a bit broader. It’s simple to adjust the sensitivity of the mouse (and the trackpad) and I like that it’s built in to the MacBook and easy to find and access. Pairs well and quickly. Battery life is pretty solid, though I don’t have much of a comparison to judge it against. It suits me fine. Which leads to the charging port placement. The fact that it’s on the bottom annoys me to no end. It’s not that I intend to use it while charging, it’s just that I have to sit here and stare at this flipped turtle on its back while it’s charging. When I think of Apple I think of ease of use and elegance. This isn’t very elegant. I would prefer to raise the arch and place it on the back, or side. And once you do that you can allow it to charge while using it if you feel so inclined. The MSRP is a bit absurd given the simplistic nature of the mouse. I certainly wouldn’t pay full price for it. I’d have to sit and consider paying half price. Pros: Gestures are great. Cons: Literally everything that constitutes a mouse.
