Make sure you upgrade your firmware
4 of 5 found this helpful These units, while high quality require a firmware update to address compatability with certain blu rays. I don't think the unit I just got ever had its firmware updated as it was still on version 1.02. On firmware 1.02 the unit sucked.... probably why it was in such great condition....after updating to the most recent firmware(go to pioneers website for info, its very simple) it's been a very good unit that has not had any problems with any media thrown at it. Overall I'm pleased with the build quality and image quality, load times are a bit slow but that's to be expected on a Player of this age, I think its a decent trade as it compliments my Pioneer PDP 5080HD pretty well. Also it should be noted that this unit is known as a very good CD player due to the DAC's pioneer put into it and the 7.1 analog outputs.
