5$ game. It's a Racing Shooter...
This game is in a wierd spot, its a shooter, but its like a training game. I bought this for 5$ and it dosen't come with a Games for Windows Live serial Key. Apperently from what I read on forums, the key that originaly came with the game worked on any GFWL game and was being misused. So you have to contact the company to get a key. I just used another GFWL game code and activated that way. I have yet to contact this company, and I don't even know if they'll respond. As far as gameplay goes, it really is like a training game/shooting gallery. You have missions where you have to stay in one spot and kill attackers. Another where you have to do 3 laps around a course killing anyone in your way, and a few modifications on the two that make up the rest. It's not a bad mindless game to play for 15 minutes to a half hour, but after that it gets stale. For 5$, you really can't complain if you can get a few hours out of it, but I can only recommend this if your really board and there's no other games you want to play.

Mindless, Linear, Gorefest.
I bought this game because at times I like to shut off my brain and just go house. The graphics are pretty good but the gameplay lacks. This game is very linear and the AI is very dumb. One of the worst parts is the "boss fights". They are another human but take loads of ammo to kill. It got to the point where I would actually run out of ammo and have to use the knife to keep the boss in an animation untill he died. No exaggeration, it must have taken about 2-3 minutes of knifing to kill the boss. This is a game you get for 5-10 bucks to have a laugh at for a while, but thats about it. The copy I got had the original SoF in it and that was the main selling point for me. I like to go back and play oldies from time to time. Oh and by the way, did I mention it is gory? They introduced the GHOUL system with the first game and tried to make it the selling point of this one. It just goes to show tons of blood and body parts dosen't make a game.

Corridor shooter
If I was reviewing this game when It came out I would have been more excited about it. I went back to play it just because I felt like I was missing out on a classic. After about 3 hours of play, I went and got the "duct tape mod", which attaches a flashlight to most of your guns. The switching between flashlight and weapons got old real fast. After I was searching a pitch black area and then walls drop to reveal enemies, I was shooting into the darkness not knowing what was going on. I see how they tried to make it scary that way, but it just dosen't work in most situations. I've played about 7 hours of the game now and I'm a little over half way, but I can't bring myself to finish it. It's very monotonous and after the same tricks have been used over and over, you realize its just a grind. The game still looks good compared to todays standards (PC version of course), but the gameplay just isn't there. If your a die hard Doom fan this is up your alley, but if your looking for something more, look elsewhere
