Pretty good
I have floor vents for my central HVAC. The fan has a circle shape in the base. So, I sat the fan on top of a vent, adjusted it to a 45 degree angle, and ran my AC. It amplified the cool air coming out of the vent and made the air feel even cooler to me. A tad costly but I think if my set up works I could run my AC a little less when I'm in my bedroom, so maybe it will pay for itself in the long run.
