Excellent Little Lantern

I bought two of these little lanterns for a 7 day hunting trip in the Colorado High Mountains during the winter. I figured because of the very low temps I would need to have plenty of batteries, each lantern holds 3 D cell batteries so I purchased 2 extra sets in hopes that would be enough. To my surprise this little lantern never even started to show signs of loosing battery power and by the end of the trip was still as strong and bright as when first turned on. We used these lanterns for an average of 5 to 7 hours a day. I wanted to purchase 4 of these but didn't because I thought if they were not up to my expectations I would look for a different lantern. I will now buy 4 more for our hunting camp. Our hunting tent is 18 feet wide and 50 feet long and 6 lanterns will take care of all of our needs for next year. No more hauling in all of the disposible propane cylinders, larger lanterns, mantles and the chance of breaking the lantern glass. The little lantern doesn't have quite as much area coverage than a propane lantern but it has a brighter white light than the propane lantern. I would highly recommend you trying these for you needs as I am very impressed with this little power house.
