Great beginner camera!
The Nikon D3200 is a great starter camera for those wishing to experience the art of photography. The body is light weight and and packs a lot of the features of the more expensive DSLR cameras on the market. The kit lens performs ok but to get the best pictures, you will want to upgrade to a better performing piece of glass. I purchased the 50mm 1:1.8G and the 70-300mm VR and could not be happier. If you are on a budget, I would suggest buying the entry level camera and upgrading lenses instead of buying a high priced DSLR and not being able to afford the lens upgrade. The lens is what helps you to take great photos.

Not a better lens out there.
Probably the best lens Nikon ever made. I'm shooting with a D800 and the images are spot on perfect at all focal lengths.
