Good, (relatively) easy upgrade.
Repaired/upgraded an old HP/Compaq CQ61-411WM with this processor. Relatively easy job if you're good at unscrewing and unplugging things and putting them back together. (Having the HP service manual was a big help, you can find it online if you poke around enough while researching how to replace these processors.)
Anyways, the processor itself works great, a substantial upgrade from the Sempron M120 it replaced, even with 8gb RAM and a Samsung 850 EVO SSD already previously installed.
No issues for me after replacing, other than a CMOS error the first time I started the computer after I finished the replacement, which it automatically reset and rebooted, and all was well after.
Yes, this is still 10+ year old tech that has been far surpassed by now, but if you're like me and can't/don't want to afford a new laptop, enjoy fixing things rather than replacing them, and are at least somewhat technologically/mechanically inclined, this is a great option.
