Copplus Retro Copper Pen with Knurled Grip, Refillable with Pilot G2 Ink
May 10, 2018
Nice Copper Pen
Rare copper pen, well constructed, has knurled grip for tactile control. Uses a Pilot G-2 Gel Refill or a Parker Refill. Cap unscrews and screws onto pen end. A weighty pen but of solid construction. Being of copper finish, should be fairly resistant to bacteria over time. However, mainly purchased for it's looks. Nice gel refill included, writes smoothly.
VINTAGE PANASONIC RQ-NX60V STEREO RADIO CASSETTE PLAYER - TESTED!
Oct 23, 2018
A Pretty Decent Little Radio Cassette Player
A basic radio cassette player that is pretty good in all regards. Sounds well balanced in its sound (high-mid-bass). Bass is pretty decently acceptable but not great. The only cons are no NR, lacks a belt clip, no equalization playback for Metal/Cr02 cassette tapes and needs first pressing of a 2nd button to access a band's 6-10 presets rather than direct button access (doesn't have 10 buttons, only 5 for its presets). Nice metal build quality rather than cheap plastic. Runs (tape) 28 hrs on a single AA battery. Slim enough to slide into most pockets. Only gave 4 stars out of lacking high bias tape playback and noise reduction.
Olympus LS-100 Portable Multitrack 24-Bit / 96 kHz PCM Recorder V409121BU000RB
Nov 09, 2019
A pro-level 8-track digital audio recorder well worth the money
Although this model came out in 2012, it still equals what is largely available today. It's meant for professionals/musicians, having such capabilities as xlr inputs for pro-level mikes, a built-in metrodome and tuner, and high input volume (140dB) recording. It records in both mp3 (320-48kbps) and a slew of LPCM/WAV formats (44.1kHz - 16 bit to 96kHz - 24 bit). Its big musician feature is its 8-track recording. Few portables offer that. The mikes are permanently and securely mounted in an a-b stereo pickup pattern that's best for overall recording situations, except for an x-y miking's advantage in a small recording venue (like a small room). They sound pretty good for built-ins. The size of the recorder is a handful. However, the real knock on this recorder is its inherent slipperiness in dry, smooth hands - it slides around way too easily, lacking any tactile grip material to its exterior that would thwart slipping. Overall, it's a very good quality recorder, holding its own even with current recorders. It was a big hit when it came out, both in feature set and quality.
