Garcia - Jerry Garcia's First Solo Album c.a. 1972

This Jerry Garcia solo album is masterful. He plays all instruments except drums. This particular CD version has bonus tracks which are early drafts of tunes recorded for the original album release. These tracks have Jerry either on guitar or piano, along with his vocals, & Bill Kreutzmann (of The Grateful Dead) on drums. Pretty raw but interesting if you are into hearing the genesis of several tunes that made it on to the original album. The included booklet has a section written by The Dead lyricist Robert Hunter, discussing each of the tunes he & Jerry wrote for the original album. All-in-all, a fascinating CD of a great album produced way back when (1972).
