Transcend 8gb Class 6 SDHC memory card
1 of 1 found this helpful I've tried other cheaper memory cards and they work fine for photos. However, if you want to shoot video with a digital camera, or with a camcorder which takes an SD or SDHC card, then this is what you need.
The "class 6" refers to the speed with which data is written onto the memory card (the "write-speed"). The fastest write-speed readily available as I type this is class 6 (the bigger the class number, the faster the write-speed).
Bear in mind that there are many memory cards out there which are actually too slow in their write-speeds to use for shooting video. Trying to use them will end in tears.
If you have used other less fast memory cards, then you will be pleasantly surprised at just how quick class 6 cards are.
Like I say, if you are only taking photos, you don't really need this, but for shooting video, I highly recommend it.
