Serious signal loss.
I installed it and really like to look of the 9” antenna however the next day on my typical drive to the office the normal stations had little to no reception with constant static. I tried several and they were mostly the same. Some more local stations had better reception but still a dramatic decrease from factory antenna.
It maybe that the mast should clear the hood by a few more inches? Maybe a 13 or 16” would do the trick. I have a similar antenna on my F159 were the antenna sits on the top of the fender rather than the side (My Wrangler) and that one has been great. Thanks

Great product for the JL.
Easy to install and works wonderfully with the larger tire. I would prefer if it had 2 positions to choose from as the 35” tire leaves lots of room underneath it. Not the end of the world but a lower position would give you greater viewing area out of the rear window. Still love the product. And I recommend it, if your not spending the extra money for replacing the rear bumper.
