A modestly presented photo treasure with great value and many hours reading
A modestly presented treasure of black and white photoes from the archives of the ACD museum in Auburn Indiana, this softbound handy little book tells the great story behind the racers and the record breakers from those great companies. Over 150 photoes and illustrations and a well of informational photo texts gave me many hours of pleasureable reading and studies of amazing photo details. The book is very well written and without any of those irritating faults in both print and historic accuracy one often encounters. As a former technical curator at the Sonja Henie Art Museum (Henie Onstad) in Oslo, Norway, I will highly recommend this book.
Do not let yourself be fooled by its modest appearance. This is a reasonably priced book that will give great value for the money spent. Lets also hope its author John M.Bill and the museum will give us the same story through their rich film archives on a DVD in a near future.
