Emergency Fueling Answer

You really need to keep this in your trunk - if your TDI has a"misfueling prevention device", a silver bow-tie shape in the filler opening, then it's the magic answer if you need to refuel from an older pump. Pump nozells less that 1" (25mm) in diameter are blocked from being inserted in the filler, to prevent you from putting a gasoline nozell into the filler. Older diesel pumps, especially in rural areas, may have nozells that won't open the filler.
