Hello, Ollie!
With attacks on Oliver North, Pat Robertson, Tipper Gore, Cardinal O'Connor, etc. etc. you know Mofungo must be a serious punk band. These songs may be a little too mellow for the hardcore punk fan but for those of us who love punk rock in all it's forms, this is an awesome little CD! 5 Stars.

Lolita
Frank Black's greatest work usually takes time to grow on me and Bluefinger is no exception. First listen I was thinking it was pretty cool (loved the harmonica on Lolita and the BGVs on Angels Come To Comfort You). About 30 listens later the songs all proved to be very solid and addicting and once again I can't stop listening. I have seen many reviews comparing this to Pixies material and while it does go there at times I also hear a lot of Black's more recent styles...especially in the structure of the songs. Sure, it is more electric but it still has that down to earth feel that many fans have come to love. 5 Huge Stars.

The City Has Sex
Letting Off The Happiness is probably my favorite Bright Eyes album. As you would expect it's very dark and melancholy and emotional. It's also very anti folk. Throughout I am reminded of Kimya Dawson and Daniel Johnston. This one is a masterpiece. 5 Stars.
