I wanted the name brand, thinking that it would be better than a generic.
I do not recommend this, as for a small child, they are pretty rough on toys. The string breaks easy, the plastic parts were snapping off, then eventually, the white stuff that suspends the magnet powder started to dry up. It is practically useless after only a few months. My son DID love it and still plays with it, but it is quickly becoming useless.
I paid about $9 plus shipping, and I believe it wasn't much better than one you might find at a dollar store.

Cool stuff
This is a really cool idea. My son loves it. The Scoot and Skate wheels are a little harder to remove once on, but otherwise very cool.
