Fixed
Had been having miss fire error codes for a long time on a 2000 Jeep XJ. Changed the plugs, O2 sensors and even the ECU.
Took swapping injectors though to fix the problem. And running like champ.

Works great: Critical to have Apple Startup Discs
Perfect match to the old drive and the mechanical swap was pretty easy.
Critical to have Apple Start-up disk , and to boot the machine from that drive. (In my case the cd-drive).
This will allow access to Disk Utilities, from there seemed to take a fresh 'erase' to make the new disk a 'recognizable' destination for the OS X install.
