I don't sell here anymore. Shipping from Japan is terrible and I never got around to switching to the new way to accept payments on Ebay. I just use this account for purchasing if I find something shipping isn't extraordinarily high on... In other words, not much, unfortunately.

Average isn't such a bad thing.
So yes, I rate the PS3 as average. Please continue reading instead of dismissing this review and you may find some reasons to agree or at least disagree in an informed manner... First off, the PS3 does have alot of potential to be amazing as many people state. However, when saying something has "potential" to do anything that means it also has the potential to do the opposite. Following is a list of what I believe are the focal points for most people. #1 Price Good or bad you have to realize that retail price is not being adhered to in most cases, especially on Ebay. Expect to pay $200-$300 more than what the system is retailing at. Is it worth it? Many say yes, many say no. In my personal opinion I would rather not pay 1% more than retail for ANYTHING I buy, much less 50%! While it is a benefit to have Blu Ray built into the system it is also a hinderance as this helped add to the price and is still battling HD-DVD (arguably the leader at this moment) for market dominance. This being said it is a heck of a deal (compared to the outrageous stand alone BR player pricing) if you intend to watch movies on a fairly consistent basis. Overall price score: 4/5 (retail) 2/5 (ebay) #2 Graphics Much hyped and, to date, little delivered. Yes, Resistance: Fall of Man has it's moments but, after Sony's relentless push about next gen this and next gen that they failed to follow through in my opinion. Our system will run games and movies at 1080p! (We won't give you any cables though...) Also, the 1080p games are nowhere to be found as of yet. Along with this is a baffling lack of built-in upscaling ability, PS2 games that look horrendous compared to being played on a standard PS2 and it looking not quite as good as the new high profile Xbox 360 game and you have a recipe for foot-in-mouth stew. Again, yes, potential, but as of yet unrealized. Overall graphics score 3/5 Finally, something that really matters! #3 Fun and Software Selection Not alot out there at launch to be honest which hits the score a little hard. Luckily, although Resistance did not blow me away graphically, it was fun for the most part. There are other games but nearly all are available on other platforms and offer about the same experience here. So your fun factor is based on Resistance and Blu Ray movies. Without going too in-depth Resistance is pretty fun - but shortlived - unless you like playing online ALOT. After you have beat the game there is really no reason to go through it again. BR movies are good but so are upscaled DVDs... That being said I won't ding BR for not being as crisp or clear as HD-DVD seems to be because really, I have only seen HD-DVD on stand alone players. I would assume that's one reason that the PS3 movies aren't quite as nice since it's integrated. But, as stated previously, for a budget Blu Ray player it's a good deal. Overall Fun: 3.5/5 FINAL VERDICT: I would say save your money for the moment, see how things pan out over the next few months or so and then decide between the high end systems (PS3 at $600 or Xbox 360 at $400) or just take a look at the entry level (Wii for $250)!

    Worth the price of admission
I admit to being a non-believer. I didn't believe Nintendo (although doing well with their DS system) could come back and make a go of it in the console market after N64 and Gamecube. It's not that they didn't have alot of clout still, it's just that myself and most others saw the future as Sony and/or Microsoft. I think it's safe to say that I underestimated Nintendo's "Project Revolution"... Gimmicks. That's what I believed the Wii to be all about. I saw the gameplay videos... Gimmicky. I saw the fans bouncing around with their controllers...They didn't realize it was all just a Gimmick. I saw the advertising...More Gimmicks. How could I have been so wrong? That's all I thought. I've been around for ALL the peripherals promising "immersive experiences" and never had I seen one actually come out and perform as well as the Wii has! Following is a list of what I believe are the focal points for most people. #1 Price PS3 - $600/$500 Xbox 360 - $400/$300 Wii - $250 You may think this would sum it up, but I won't stop there. PS3, worth it's price? Do you like Blu-Ray? If so, then yes. Xbox 360, worth it's price? With it's current gaming selection and some stunners coming out in the near future, most definately. Wii, worth the price? While it may not blow you away graphically I think it's safe to say that, at the lowest price point you're playing something better than the Gamecube which was released at a similar price so yes, worth the price. Plus, consider the fact that a manufacturer has included a game with the system for the first time in YEARS! Overall price score: 4.5/5 #2 Graphics You will not hook the Wii up and think "Next Gen" as everyone seems to be spouting every 8.3 seconds about the PS3 and 360. However, this little system hold it's own when compared to the previous game consoles. Could it be better? Probably. Does it have to be? Not from where I'm sitting although I wouldn't turn it down! Overall graphics score 3.5/5 Finally, something that really matters! #3 Fun and Software Selection Gimmicks. Turns out I love them! Who would have thought? Playing by yourself is NOT what the Wii was made for, getting a house full and bouncing around like you're all a bunch of 12 year olds is where it's at! You may think that sounds like something someone like you shouldn't be doing, and were you to attempt to do so you would just feel stupid. Not the case. Don't believe me? The next time you're alone think about playing with your favorite toy when you were 12. Imagine what it felt like. Can you do it? If so, I know you'll be smiling. It's that feeling times 10. As for the games, some take huge advantage of the Wiimote and others are so-so. Red Steel? SOUnded nice, but save your money. Monkey Ball... If you liked the first ones this is more multiplayer goodness. Zelda, Well, the Wiimote don't have a TON of functionality but it does add a little more experience to the game. I think there's no where to go but up at this point! Overall Fun: 4.5/5 FINAL VERDICT: 4/5
