So so
Really did not work that well but I like the concept. Main body seems to want to rotate and lose contact with the end block. I will try to tighten it a bit more to see if it stays in place.

Works great
This device works great as a motor speed controller. I did put a lower potentiometer ( 100K ) in it to have better control of low speeds. I am very pleased with it.
