Hours-On-End of Quiet, Creative, Educational Play!
Playmobil makes extremely creative toys that help educate and provide hours and hours of creative, educational play (in my opinion)! This particular Pirate island hideout inspires learning about what basic needs people have for survival, such as food, water, shelter, heat. And dangers are presented, such as attack from a raft, and dangerous critters (a snake, scorpion, and rat). I've combined this set with several others from their Pirate themed line, so that we have an "atoll" replete with several similar islands, plus a big pirate ship! Now I can do my computer work without constant interruptions! And even adults think this stuff is super-cool! This is the only "quiet toy" I've found. SHHHH! Don't tell them it's educational, haha!
