The Art of Praying : The Principles and Methods of Christian Prayer by Romano...
Oct 25, 2016
Prayer is essential
What I have been looking for is a book that details the basics of Christian prayer, from not just a beginner standpoint, but a standpoint of one who wishes to understand the different kinds of prayer, how they differ, and what elements are needed in order to fulfill them properly. Guardini's book fits this mission. Through a grounded, Catholic perspective, Guardini tutors the reader in how to approach prayer in general and how to think of each type, while not being too technical nor too mystical. This book would be an excellent introduction to the basic prayer methods for anyone truly interested in the practice.

A real history of Columbus
This is a carefully written and researched book, balanced and free of the toxic political vitriol that often follows Columbus.
Judas Priest - Hero Hero [New CD]

When Judas Priest was new and ultra hungry
This compilation of early Judas Priest tunes reflects the 1970's imagination, experimental guitar licks and way-out vocals. Priest has always been good, but this is when they were ultra-hungry. The disk itself is good quality. I would have liked some liner notes or something explaining each song, but you have to get the originals for that, I suppose.
