The Best Secret Budget Hardware for Artists
Absolutely amazing device.
Although it does not offer tilt, if you couple this device with the UP-911E-02DD Pen from Wacom Japan, the results are amazing. I do not miss the tilt functionality at all. The 18sx also has an excellent looking and feeling display with very high color accuracy. I am not ISF certified, but I have calibrated everything from CRT's to OLED's and this thing has a wonderful screen. It blows away my Cintiq 13 inch, and any Tablet or Laptop I've ever used, absolutely no comparison, and at a fraction of the cost of a 21ux.
I paid just over $250 for the 18sx with stand and a new Wacom Pen from Japan.
A 21UX is upwards of $1500.
There are only two things I would add as minor negatives.
1. Heat. This thing can get pretty warm so it's best to use it with a vesa mount or, preferably, the intended stand.
2. Lag. There is minor lag, but it is very very small and the pen is so accurate that it does not effect my abilities at all. I'm talking milliseconds of lag here, it's so small I forget about it. It's almost non existent in Krita.
Both are minor complaints, and really aren't even complaints. Just get yourself a decent desk like the Micke from Ikea and get to drawing, painting, sculpting, or whatever you do.

works
Excellent product that actually eliminates EMI and other noise that can get in your audio equipment. I use these and xlr quad cables in my studio for no noise.

Cleaning up signals
1 of 1 found this helpful Tripp Lite's Isobars actually cleaned up my audio and video signals. I'm running an old HD CRT with a PS2, PS3, and PS4 and have always had some light noise in the image, but this surge protector has eliminated it. I've also purchased a rack mount unit for the recording studio. Much cheaper and better quality than a Furman.
