Nice globe; doesn't work though.
The globe appears to have been split when it was wrapped; I just don't see how it could have opened the way it did while so tightly bubbled and taped, but maybe I'm wrong and it occurred in transit. The listing for this item included a video of it working perfectly, but there was no indication I could see of WHEN the item was listed; therefore I was skeptical but nevertheless disappointed and in frustrated pre-Christmas tears when I loaded in the C cell batteries and some lights came on but it did not work. There was no volume, and no way to control the lights with the on/off button. The globe by itself is in fine condition - putting the halves back together is easy - and will work fine as it is for my nephews' schooling. That said, I am not altogether pleased, especially with the amount I paid for it.
