heat buildup

i have spoken with maker in canada,,,i have both thumper models,,,,they are great machines but not designed for heat venting,,,,i took both of mine apart and drilled many small holes in the plastic housing all around the motors and now the run time is over double before they shut off due to over heating [automactic]....elec. motors need lots of air!!!!! m. etcheberry
