Lame, I was expecting a romantic novel and this poorly written book is very disappointing.

Grand Budapest Hotel is one of Wes Anderson's masterpieces. The actors are also spectacular
The Grand Budapest movie is a Film, crafted with care, good taste, full of wit and class. A delight to watch. Adventure, intrigue, values, a critic to nazism without making the movie about it, an ode to friendship and loyalty, in classic European settings, reminiscent of the past, with realistic taste and accurate description of the Old European scenery and world, the manners and ways of Europeans. If you have lived in Europe, you will feel transported.
His movies have a subtle sense of humor. This is not a big clogs comedy, it's a delicately crafted masterpiece.
I love the actors Wes Andersons chooses, they are perfect in their roles, just absolutely incredible, you will find them along his other Films: Life Aquatic, The Royal Tenenbaums...
If you like the commercial Hollywood movies, this may be a bit of a change to subtlety, and attention to details, understated elegance.
