Timeless treat for the mind and the soul.

Amazing series featuring Jacob Bronowski's (mathematician, scientist and humanist) "essays" on the development of man from prehistoric times to the present (series produced in the early 1970's) with an emphasis on scientific thought and inquiry. It explores man's desire and drive to understand his world and to constantly push the boundaries of the known, and by so doing it explores what it means to be human. He explains complex scientific or mathematical discoveries in such a way as to make them easily understandable to the audience. He has a unique and exceptional mind that balances advanced scientific and mathematical thought with a truly humanistic sensibility. Amazing man, amazing series. Don't miss this one.
