Does not work with my Wii Console

I bought this lan adapter for my Wii console, but it does not work at all. When I try to configure my console on an ethernet connection, it does not work, it is not recognized. I connected the adapter to my pc and it works fine, so the HW is OK (I think) but it is NOT compatible with Wii console as the add says. If you need an ethernet lan adapter for your PC, It will work, but not for your Wii Console.
