Needed
I was fixing up my cooling system and wanted to overhaul the thermostat housing as well. I’d noticed some seeping. Cracked it open and after 40k miles I found that the original o ring was basically gone. Little bit of residue of it still there at most. Ring fit right in the groove and screwed the halves back together.

Perfect fit
I replaced the originals on my bike more as a precaution due to age. Part is a perfect fit and installed without issue.
