The Best Worst Album Ever
2 of 2 found this helpful Many fans of Progressive Rock (and more specifically Yes) call this album a disgrace, and repeatedly point to it as the worst Yes album ever. (They seem to forget about Open Your Eyes—now THAT is a pretty dull album.) I really don't think this is a bad album, however. Sure, it's not quite the "union" of old and new that was promised, but there are a lot of interesting songs on the album, and the whole thing is pretty progressive. On the whole, it's a very enjoyable listen. While not my favorite Yes album, it is still a very respectable album, and one that deserves more credit than it receives. I think anyone who calls themselves Yes fan should at least give this album a fair try, before listening to the disparaging voices out there. You might like it, you might not. But, in either case, it's better than just assuming the album is horrible just because everyone says it is. You might be surprised by how enjoyable a supposedly "horrible" album really can be ;) A good album. 3/5
