Solved My Problem
2 of 2 found this helpful I was looking for a more reliable connection from my basement in one corner of the house to the router on the second floor at the other corner. The AWUS036AC lives up to its "long range" name, as I'm now getting a very good signal level and close to the maximum throughput my router allows. Much better than my old WiFi adapter, which only got a weak signal with spotty throughput in the exact same location. The price was right too.
