The stock pistol grip that came on my 500 Cruiser bruised my hand

I bought a Mossberg 500 Cruiser shotgun at an After Christmas sale for a really good price. The 500 Cruiser is a full sized 500 with a factory installed pistol grip. Unfortunately the factory grip was made from a very hard material that did not absorb shock at all. My hand ended severely bruised with quite a bit of pain. It was unusable as delivered from the factory. After doing some research I found the Hogue Tamer pistol grip. It does an amazing job of absorbing the recoil of the shotgun. I shoot 00 buckshot exclusively. If I hadn't found the Hogue Tamer I would have had to put a standard 500 stock on the shotgun.
