Touch screen didn't work

Received this and after turning on relied the touch screen was working . I messed around on line for possible solutions and none work . Then all of a sudden the touchscreen was working then after let idle a couple hours screen quit working . It also had a grade a rating stating it would b free of scratches and dents etc. The top had 3 fairly deep scratches on it . Sent it back
