Clement Attlee
Despite the best efforts of the author, Clement Attlee is and always will be a colourless and boring person. I’m quite sure this would not have been the case had I been able to meet him. But sadly the guy does not do it for me. I’m sure if you were doing a scholarly thesis on Mr Attlee then this would be the only book for you. As it understand it the only biography on him. Sorry to be so negative but that’s the way it is.

I have probably read everything there is to read about Churchill but Andrew Roberts stands head and shoulders above the rest I am an avid fan of Mr Roberts
