Great upgrades to an icon
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a relaunch of the Seiko H558 seen on the wrist of Arnold Schwarzenegger most notably in the movie The Predator. The watch has a cool look and was futuristic for the time period (mid-late 1980s) but was outdated and plain, as it was an analog-digital quartz watch. This newer version is a fresh take. While not mechanical, it uses Seiko’s proprietary solar H851 movement which apparently hold a whopping 6-month power reserve when fully charged. It is part of the Prospex lineup, and boasts a 200m water resistance. The watch does come in rather large, however the long pushers and short lugs make it wear more like a 43-45mm war here. The best thing is the bracelet. I have not found a rubber strap even close to this in comfort.
