Great camcorder. Sony is the best.

I bought this to convert my old HI8 tapes to dvd's. It works great. I had a Sony very similar to this that I loved. Unfortunately I loaned it to someone and it was never returned. This camera is easy to operate. I haven't really used it for video taping but in my few test shots it's as good as my old one. Sony is #1 in my book. I ran into a 'user' problem, nothing to do with the camera operation. I ended up calling their customer service 3 different times and they were fantastic, extremely helpful even though it was a discontinued product.
