Excellent
I have taken classes from D.Brinley and anything by him is so insightful! I have learned a great deal from him. I bought this as a reference book for a friend. It has a lot of insight into how men and women think, their needs and motivations.

Delightful
A delightful book that introduces the characters through correspondence between a writer and her publisher and friends and people she becomes friends with for a story she is researching. It is told through letters between the characters. The characters are delightful and personalities you can relate to. There are really 2 central characters, Julia (who all the letters are to or from) and Elizabeth (who has died before the story takes place.
I especially enjoyed learning about the experiences and resilience of the English people during and immediately following WW2. I also liked the way the book taught us not to judge or steriotype people.
