Laptop renewed!
Even with max RAM and an SSD drive, our old Dell Inspiron 1501 was lethargic running Windows 10 Pro. But a dual-core CPU upgrade GREATLY improved its perceived performance.
Replacement came well packaged, and even with a packet of heat-sink grease. As usual, opening up the case was very tedious; and of course everything was done carefully in a static free manner.
Glad we can still get these legacy parts, and at a quite reasonable cost!
