Came with corroded batteries

The presenter came with corroded batteries installed, which had corroded the contacts in the battery compartment. I installed new batteries and it works, but the corrosion will certainly impact the life of the unit. I seem to remember that there was a "no return" policy, now I know why. Not a happy camper.
